Doyle Thomas Sims, 59, of Walnut Grove, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Services were Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Snead Funeral Home with Jackie Garrard officiating. Burial followed at Bailey Cemetery in Susan Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Miller Sims; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Wayne Rhodes, of Snead, Becky and Chad Garrard, of Walnut Grove, and Wendy Sims and J.D. Vanwagner Jr., of Douglas; five grandchildren; brother, Norman “Shorty” Sims, of Snead; and sisters, Doris Garrett and Carolynne Dupree, of Fort Payne.
