The Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame will conduct its annual business meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the boardroom of the Marshall County Board of Education’s central office.

All former inductees, gold sponsors, silver sponsors, bronze members and the public are invited to attend.

Among the items to be discussed are the 2009 induction banquet and plans for the 2010 banquet, which is scheduled for June 5 at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge.

There will also be an election to fill openings on the board of directors.

The MCSHOF is accepting nominations for the 2010 induction class.

Deadline to submit nominations is Dec. 1.

Nomination forms will be available at Wednesday’s meeting, or persons can download a form from the Hall of Fame’s Web site at mcshof.org.

The Hall of Fame plaques, which had been displayed on the ground floor of the Marshall County Courthouse in Guntersville since 2006, have been moved to the Guntersville Museum.

There are 85 members in the Hall of Fame.

Members of the 2009 induction class were Bobby Buford, Julia Casey, James Robert Chafin, Wayland Cooley, Dr. Richard “Butch” Ferguson, the Garrett brothers, Rusty Greer, Jeremy Hays, Bill Moore and Jackie Thrower.
