Aggies face St. James Monday

The Albertville varsity boys will be one of eight teams competing in the Columbia Eagles Thanksgiving Classic scheduled for Monday through Wednesday in Huntsville.

The Aggies will play Class 4A St. James, a private school in Montgomery, in the quarterfinals Monday at 3:30 p.m.

The Albertville/St. James winner will play the Madison Academy/Grissom winner in the semifinals Tuesday night at 8.

The championship game is scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Columbia, Westminster Christian, Buckhorn and East Limestone are the teams in the other half of the bracket.

If Albertville loses Monday, it will play either Madison Academy or Grissom in the losers bracket Tuesday at 3:30.

The Aggies are guaranteed three games in the event.

On Wednesday, the seventh-place game will be at 1:30 p.m., followed by the fifth-place contest at 3. The third-place game will be at 4:30.

The Aggies took a 2-0 record with them to Fort Payne on Friday night.
