Starting Monday, a portion of Elder Street will be closed due to construction for about seven months, according to Boaz police. The portion of Elder Street from College Avenue to the end of the Snead State cafeteria parking lot and the beginning of the library entrance will be completely blocked due to the renovation of Norton Hall on the Snead State Community College campus. The area will remain closed until late July.
