James “Ricky” Hicks, 62, of Sardis City, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center.

Services were Thursday, Oct. 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Etowah Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Ronnie Roberts and Phillip Battles officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Attalla.

Survivors include his wife, Vicky Hicks; daughters, Shonnie (Stanley) Hubbard and Robin (Phillip) Battles; sister, Tina (Haytham) Mobayed; father-in-law, Odell (Gwen) Bradley; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
