Wanda Furgerson
Wanda Furgerson, 70, of Rainsville, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital.
Services will be today, Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at Straight Creek Church of God with the Revs. Frank Bradford and Gary Haymon officiating. Burial will follow at Kirk Memorial Gardens. Rainsville Funeral Home is in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Furgerson, of Rainsville; daughter, Sheila (Rooney) Blackmon, of Boaz; son, Tony (Lynne) Furgerson, of Rainsville; brothers, R.J. Haymon, of Powell, and Jerry Haymon, of Scottsboro; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Albertville
John Thomas Gilbert, 70, of Albertville, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at his home.
Graveside services will be today, Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in DeKalb City. Albertville Funeral Home is in charge.
Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Roberts, of New Jersey; brother, Rodney Gilbert, of Henegar; sisters, Sandra Dixon, of Albertville, Caroline Chandler, of Geraldine, Mary Gilliland, of Texas, and Lydia Gilbert, of Florida.
