Nelta Joan Hicks
Nelta Joan Hicks, 68, of Calhoun, Ga., and formerly of this area, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at her home.
Services will be today, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church, in Sylvania, with the Rev. Chris Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation is today at 1 p.m. at the church. W.T. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Ross, of Chickamauga, Ga., and Pamela Chandler, of Bethlehem, Ga.; sons, Perry Hicks and Mark Hicks, both of Calhoun, Ga., and Brian Hicks, of Owasa, Okla.; sisters, Dianise Townsel, of Fyffe, Ramona Townsel, of Boaz, Sheila Patterson and Malinda Black, both of Grove Oak, Charlene Swinford, of Macedonia, and Edith Pressley, of Marietta, Ga.; brothers, Garieth Underwood, of Horton, Ricky Underwood, of Fyffe, and Billy Underwood, of Georgia; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
