James Leroy Bowman, 74, of Attalla, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Gadsden Regional Health Care.

Services were Friday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home with the Revs. Frank Umphrey and Jeff Striplin officiating. Burial followed at Samuels Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy McLeroy, of Altoona; brother, Raymond Bowman, of Oneonta; four sisters, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
