Published December 1, 2009

An Albertville man remains in Albertville City Jail charged with attempted murder following a weekend incident.

Police arrested Timothy Leon Lang, 44, of 201 Dick Road, Saturday and charged him with attempted murder.

According to Albertville police Chief Benny Womack, officers responded to a report of a bloodied man walking along railroad tracks on George Wallace Drive at around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found Craig Steven Bice, 47, also of 201 Dick Road, Albertville, bleeding profusely from a slit throat and cuts to his abdomen.

Bice was able to talk to officers, giving them the name of a suspect.

He was treated at the scene by Albertville Fire and Rescue members and transported to Marshall Medical Center South.

A hospital spokesman said Bice was listed in fair condition Monday.
