Sammie Lynn Otinger Carroll
Sammie Lynn Otinger Carroll, 47, of Boaz, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 21, at McRae Chapel with the Rev. Richard Pettijohn officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Ms. Carroll was born in Alabama on Aug. 26, 1962, to Betty Blalock Otinger and S.J. Otinger Jr. She was a property title researcher.
Survivors include her son, Austin Jefferson Carroll, of Boaz; a daughter, Sydney Elizabeth Carroll, of Boaz; parents, S.J. and Betty Otinger, of Boaz; sister and brother-in-law, Libby and Alan Bates, of Boaz; three nephews, several cousins and a special friend, Charles Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Otinger, and grandparents, Sam and Zelma Otinger, and O.L. and Sally Mae Blalock.
Pallbearers will be Shane Otinger, Steven Bates, Alan Bates, Sam Bates, Frank Wilson and Gerald Noel.
