Dorothy Slater “Dot” Gilley, 80, of Summerville, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. at Summerville United Methodist Church with the Revs. David Hicks and J.B. Neil officiating. Burial followed at Summerville Cemetery. Rainwater Funeral Home was in charge.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (James R.) Smith, of Versailles, Ky., son, Jeff (Lana) Gilley, of Menlo, Ga.; sisters, Madge Fox, of Menlo, and Margaret Elrod, of Arab; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
