John Troy Karr Sr., 95, of Horton, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at his home.

Services will be today, Thursday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Estelle Masters Hyde Carr, of Horton; daughters, Martha Jane (Ronnie) Barber, Charlotte Ann (Glenn) Fielder and Nellie Marie (Robert) McKee; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
