Glencoe scouting report: The Yellow Jackets’ two losses are to Region 5 rivals Leeds and Piedmont, who are tied for No. 6 in the final 3A poll.
Glencoe’s key players include Brock Kirby, who had a hand in every one of his team’s points in the Hokes Bluff victory.
Kirby kicked the game-winning 33-yard field goal and had six tackles to go with a pair of touchdown receptions and six total catches.
Among the other players to watch for Glencoe are Joseph Grygo, Ray Ray Kimbril, running back Tim Chunn and quarterback Trey Hill.
Glencoe’s defense is allowing an average of only 11.8 points per game.
The Yellow Jackets opened the season 6-0, but went 2-2 down the stretch, including the losses to Leeds and Piedmont.
The Yellow Jackets have won six in a row against the Lions.
Glencoe won the last meeting 27-0 in 2003, Garmon’s first season as Sardis’ head coach.
Following a six-game winning streak, the Lions have lost two of their last three games.
