Aggies take down Devils

The Albertville varsity boys will participate in the Big Blue Classic at Brewer High School in Somerville.

The Aggies will play East Limestone today at 7:30 p.m.

Albertville will take on the winner, or loser, of the Brewer/Good Hope matchup Monday.

The tournament will conclude Tuesday.

Albertville 50, Etowah 37: The Aggies improved to 9-6 overall by beating the Blue Devils in Class 5A, Area 13 play Tuesday at Attalla.

It was Albertville’s first Area 13 game of the season. They are 1-2 in the area standings with three area games remaining — Jan. 5 vs. Southside, Jan. 8 at Boaz and Jan. 15 vs. Etowah.

T.J. Vines paced Albertville with 18 points in Tuesday’s triumph.

T.J. Pams posted a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds.
