Nellie Jewel Shepherd
Nellie Jewel Shepherd, 70, of the Preston Island community, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital.
Services were Monday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Pine Island Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Burial followed at Preston Island Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home was in charge.
Survivors include her husband, James Shepherd; daughters, Diane Sutton, of Preston Island, and Kimberly Murdock, of Tilton, Ill.; stepsons, Thomas Shepherd, of Indiana, James Shepherd Jr., of Claysville, Toby Shepherd, of Alexandra, Egypt, Tony Shepherd, of Catlin, Ill., John Shepherd, of Westfield, Ill., and Bruce Shepherd, of Danville, Ill.
