Aggie Band selling Braves tickets

Published February 9, 2010

Albertville High School Band members are selling Braves tickets to help raise money for their trip to the 2011 Rose Bowl Parade.

According to Chris Lindley, Albertville director of bands, the band will perform at the April 20 Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies game at Turner Field in Atlanta.

Lindley also said, in addition to the on-field performance, Tournament of Roses Associate President Jeff Throop will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch in honor of the Aggie Band.

The band members will pre-sell tickets through Feb. 28. Band members also will have tickets to sell in March.

Lindley said people can order tickets from a band member by calling the Albertville Chamber of Commerce, 878-3821, or by calling the band room, 571-0142.

Tickets are $6 each, and $3 of the ticket price will go toward the band’s trip to Pasadena.

The tickets will be in the upper pavilion seated near the band, and there is no limit to how many tickets a person can buy, according to Lindley.
