Billie D. Bishop
Billie D. Bishop, 80, of Boaz, died May 12, 2009, at Shepherd’s Cove – Hospice of Marshall County, with her family by her side.
Services will be today, Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at Boaz Carr Funeral Chapel with Brother Jimmy Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Douglas Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Richard (Robbie) Bishop, of Conyers, Ga., Jim (Jane) Bishop, of Muscle Shoals, Sherry (Johnny) McNair, of Enterprise, and Shirley (Ricky Quick) Franklin, of Rockmart, Ga.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Moore, Geneva Coley, Betty Whitten and Helen Dodd; brother, Marlin (Carolyn) Edwards; brothers-in-law, Homer Buchanan and the Rev. James Spears; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel E. Bishop; her parents, C.C. and Myrt Edwards, and a sister, Louise Buchanan.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Bishop, Brad Bishop, Jason Bishop, Chris Johnson, Andy Puckett, Chris Watkins, Jeffrey Cantrell and Shannon Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Amie Bishop Johnson, Megan Bishop Puckett, Michelle McNair Watkins, Amanda McNair, Christen Collins Cantrell, Sara Collins Smith and Mischa Bishop.
The family suggests memorial donations to Shepherd’s Cove – Hospice of Marshall County.
