George Finley Lackey Sr.
George Finley Lackey Sr., 82, of Bethsaida Road, Boaz died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his residence.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 2 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lackey was born in Boaz, Alabama on April 11, 1927, to Jesse James & Etta Mae Bruce Lackey. He was a retired mechanical engineer with the civil service.
Mr. Lackey is survived by his wife, Lois Jen “Jeanne” Lackey, of Boaz; son and daughter-in-law, George Finley Jr. and Pat Lackey, of Harvest; daughter and son-in-law, Heather Jean and Kevin Fitzpatrick, of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Rob Haden, Jonathan Haden, Heather Haden, Jessica Lackey, Kaitlin Lackey and Sarah Lackey.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to All Saints Anglican Episcopal Church,
