Tuesday is nomination deadline

The Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2010 induction class.
Deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Hall of Fame’s Web site at mcshof.org.
The Hall of Fame plaques, which had been displayed on the ground floor of the Marshall County Courthouse in Guntersville since 2006, have been moved to the Guntersville Museum.
There are 85 members in the Hall of Fame, which inducted its first class in 2002.
Members of the 2009 induction class were Bobby Buford, Julia Casey, James Robert Chafin, Wayland Cooley, Dr. Richard “Butch” Ferguson, the Garrett brothers, Rusty Greer, Jeremy Hays, Bill Moore and Jackie Thrower.
The 2010 induction banquet is scheduled for June 5 at 6 p.m. at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge. Banquet tickets will be $30 each and include a prime rib dinner.
There are 18 members on the Hall of Fame’s board of directors.
Board members are president Shannon J. Allen, vice president Butch Ferguson, treasurer Frank Mastin, secretary Ricky Smith, Patrick Williams, Shirl Dollar, P.J. Harris, Raymond Weaver, Pat Courington Jr., Gil Bruce, Tom Maddux, John Allen, Charlie Jimmerson, Bill Morgan, Roger Isom, Scott Tidmore, Jim Bradshaw and Doug Campbell.
