The Guntersville varsity girls basketball team improved to 2-0 Tuesday night by beating Madison County 46-27 at Gurley.

The Lady Wildcats led 21-9 at intermission.

Carlye Bice paced Guntersville with 16 points.

GHS sank 13-of-16 free throws.

Guntersville 61, Cullman 54: The Lady Wildcats opened their season Monday by beating the Bearcats at Wildcat Gym.

Guntersville rallied from a 29-22 deficit at the half.

Bice pumped in 23 points. Both Kayla Stewart and Meredith Moore scored 11.
