Published November 21, 2009

The Beth Haven varsity boys basketball team suffered a 69-48 loss to Trinity Christian, of Oxford, on Tuesday.

Beth Haven trailed 16-7, 40-20 and 65-29 at the rest stops.

“We played a horrible game, but there were some bright spots,” said Rams head coach Tim Smith.

“One was a don’t quit attitude, which I was proud of. We have a lot of work to do to get better.”

Zach Gilbert powered Beth Haven with 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine steals.

Hunter Gilbert finished with 16 points, seven steals and four rebounds.

Gabe Bloodworth collected six points and five boards.

Both T.J. Brothers and Clay Hibbs scored two points.

Brothers grabbed eight rebounds while John Smalley made three steals.
