The DeKalb County Drug Task Force, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Drug Task Force, Albertville Police Department Narcotics Unit and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office executed two search warrants at about 4:30 p.m. Monday at 28 and 35 County Road 9014, Collinsville, in the Dawson area.

The search warrants were a result of a six-month investigation among the agencies involved.

Among those arrested at 35 County Road 9014 were Gabriel Ramirez Rodriquez, 20, on charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine; Jose Torres Ramirez, 28; and Julian Penaloza Garcia, 23.

Fidel Hernandez Santana, 21, and Quienere Gomez, 22, were arrested at 28 County Road 9014.

All were arrested on Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers.

Agents seized about 5 pounds of methamphetamine during the joint operation that has proven agencies working together can accomplish the fight against drugs in the area.
