John Troy Karr Sr.
John Troy Karr Sr., 95, of Horton, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at his home.
Services were Thursday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Lambert officiating. Burial followed at Memory Hill Cemetery.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Estelle Masters Hyde Karr, of Horton; son, John Troy (Shirley) Karr Jr., of Gadsden; daughters, Martha June (Ronnie) Barber, of Bradenton, Fla., Charlotte Ann (Glenn) Fielder, of Summerdale; one stepdaughter Nellie Marie (Robert) McKee; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Mr. Karr was preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Lee Jarrell Karr, one brother, three sisters and a grandchild, Mark A. Barber.
Pallbearers were Glenn Fielder, Turner Little, Chris Little, Ronnie Barber, David Powell and Scott Kemp.
