Two wanted for impersonating officers

Published February 5, 2009

An unidentified man and woman, claiming to be police officers, robbed two Albertville residents of $560.

Police said the crime occurred Monday at the Kilpatrick Trailer Park, on Kilpatrick Road.

The two knocked on the victim’s door and claimed to be law enforcement officers with a warrant for a particular individual.

The couple proceeded to make a cursory search of the trailer, during which time they are alleged to have taken $560 in cash from a bedroom.

The two were described as a bearded white man with multiple tattoos and wearing a black hat and a camouflage jacket, and a white woman, with blond highlights in her hair, wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans, and sandals.

The two were believed to be in a red truck, with no make or model given.

Anyone with information is asked to call Albertville police detectives at 891-8274.
