The annual food drive by The National Association of Letter Carriers is today. Place non-perishable food items beside their mailbox before mail is delivered. This food drive benefits needy families in the Boaz, Albertville and Guntersville. Food items that will be helpful are: canned meats, soups, vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, or any nonperishable foods in non-breakable containers such as boxes or cans.

“USO and the American Spirit” will be performed today through May 10 at the Whole Backstage Theatre, in Guntersville.
MONDAY
Registration for GED tests at Snead State Community College will be May 16 for the tests give on May 17 and 19-20. Bring a driver’s license, Social Security card and $50 in cash or a credit card. Retests are $10 per session. One-day tests are given on Saturdays at 8 a.m. Two-day tests are given on Monday and Tuesday nights at 5 p.m. Call Pamela Brady at 840-4151 for more details.
